Position: Human Resource & Employee Relations Admin
Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resource & Employee Relations Admin to join our team. This is a full-time position, with a 40-hour work week, at our luxurious resort in Jamaica.
As the Human Resource & Employee Relations Admin, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining a positive working environment for our employees. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of Labour Relations Codes , Employee Relations & Staff Welfare
- Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and HR-related matters
- Prepare documentation for disciplinary meetings, grievance hearings, investigations, and other employee relations matters
- Support employee engagement initiatives and promote positive workplace relationships
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Accurately input new hire data into our ABHRIL HRIS platform
- Prepare HR letters and documentation, including employment confirmations, warnings, performance-related correspondence, and other employee communications.
- Accurately record minutes of disciplinary hearings, grievance meetings, employee meetings, investigations, and other employee relations proceedings.
- Ensure 100% compliance with document retention policies
- Support HR projects and other administrative duties as required
- Strong attention to detail for compliance auditing
- Engaging, warm, and friendly personality, with the ability to build positive relationships and make employees feel supported.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Associate's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Admin or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Experience with performance management and employee relations
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
