Position: Training Assistant
Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica is seeking a highly motivated and organized Training Assistant to join our team. The Training Assistant will play a key role in ensuring that our employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles and provide our guests with an unforgettable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for all departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions for new and existing employees
- Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and videos
- Conduct training sessions for employees on various topics, such as customer service, company policies, and job-specific skills
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training on company culture and values
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and develop customized training plans
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in training and development
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of company-wide events and workshops
- Maintain accurate records of employee training and certifications
- Provide support to employees with any training-related questions or concerns
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a training or HR role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other training software
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and demands
- Passion for learning and helping others succeed
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design is a plus
