Head of QA

Job Description:

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of QA analysts and testers. Resolve conflicts, promote a collaborative team environment, and drive the team to achieve high performance.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing/implementing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Project Management: Manage multiple testing projects simultaneously. Ensure transparency and effective communication within the team and with other departments.
• Automation and Manual Testing: Implement/improve existing testing strategy that includes both automated and manual testing methodologies. Ensure comprehensive coverage of all features and functionalities.
• Scrum and Agile Practices: Implement and refine Scrum practices within the QA team. Ensure that testing phases are integrated seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
• Performance Metrics: Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process, adapting to new challenges and technologies.
• Process Implementation and Control: Establish and enforce rigorous QA processes and controls to maintain high standards of software quality. Regularly review and update these processes to adapt to new technologies and project requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: More than 10 years of experience in leading QA teams. More than 5 years with a hands-on role in test automation, performance testing, database testing, and API testing.
• Expertise in Manual Testing: Comprehensive knowledge of manual testing processes and different types of testing.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a complex environment.
• Conflict Resolution: Strong ability to handle and resolve team conflicts effectively and maintain a healthy team environment.
