Job Title: Automation & Reporting Analyst (Power BI)

Job Description:

The Automation and Reporting Analyst is responsible for the implementation of automation initiatives, building reports, and iterating report design to best position our Service Delivery department. This role requires a natural analytical way of thinking and the ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration for automation platforms, including day-to-day configuration changes and maintenance.
  • Build dashboards and reporting for both management and individual contributor audiences that provide insight into team and individual performance as well as client and team health.
  • Assist with planning and executing toolset implementations, with end goals of creating scalability and improving the Service Delivery workflow.
  • Participate in automation strategy sessions both internally and with vendors of automation platforms.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visuals based on the metrics and KPIs that answer the questions that are important to the client.
  • Look for opportunities to automate and simplify complex or manual processes.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Build datasets for reporting use within common platforms including Bright gauge and PowerBI.
  • Meet with team members during the automation and report design processes to get feedback.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on automation and reporting platforms.
  • Manage report workspaces and user access.
  • Make recommendations for better ways to handle data where appropriate.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reports and dashboards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and real time timesheets, record complete and accurate notes of troubleshooting and communication with clients.
  • Receive mentoring and feedback from peers and others.
  • Where appropriate, escalate complicated issues to a more senior resource or other appropriate teams.
  • Review tickets with Analytics Manager.
  • Actively participate in team huddles, L10 meetings, one-on-one meetings, and any other team meetings.
  • Attend monthly training & team meetings as required.

Education Requirements, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • 3+ years relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with PowerBI, PowerShell, and automation tools as well as working with an MSP is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of current IT concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to understand and analyze complex issues
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated, highly organized and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner with a high level of quality
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
