Summary:
This position will allow you to work alongside some of the most talented engineers/specialists in the US and Canada and afford you the opportunity to grow with an innovative managed services provider that has a 25-year history of providing a full range of IT solutions and is continuing to expand throughout North America.
The Sr Office 365 & Azure Engineer/Specialist will provide a high level of client service to clients through excellent communication and detailed documentation. They will work with other Solutions Engineers to deploy equipment and tools, as well as provide technical expertise during the onboarding process.
Responsibilities:
- General Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow "The COMPANY Way," maintaining standards and processes for a predictable client result.
- Mentor less experienced team members, including advising, coaching, teaching, and guiding them.
- Participate in Project Implementation Reviews and Design Reviews to ensure project success.
- Maintain accurate and real-time timesheets, recording complete and accurate notes of troubleshooting and communication with clients.
- Receive mentoring and feedback from peers and others.
- Escalate complicated issues to a more senior resource or other appropriate teams when necessary.
- Remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.
- Actively Participate in Team Huddles, L10 Meetings, One on One Meetings, Trainings and any other Team Meetings
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the products and services we offer.
- Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
- Configure, deploy, and manage Office 365 applications and features to meet business requirements.
- Planning and assisting with migrations from on-premises systems to Microsoft 365 services, applications, identity, and device management solutions.
- Implementing Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant migrations preserving client experience.
- Maintenance of Microsoft 365 tenant configuration settings, such as domain name settings, federation, and external access.
- Implement and enforce security best practices within the Office 365 environment.
- Configuring and managing Microsoft 365 security and compliance features, such as conditional access, data loss prevention (DLP), and retention policies.
- Coordinating with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize Identity and Access Management (IAM) needs and requirements.
- Implement IAM solutions that meet regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, GDPR).
- Providing technical support and training for other IT professionals on MFA configuration and management best practices.
- Developing and delivering training programs to educate stakeholders, users, and IT support staff on best practices and policies.
- Troubleshooting escalated issues related to Microsoft 365 services and resolving technical problems for end-users.
- Create Monitoring of performance, availability, and configuration standards of Microsoft 365 services and taking appropriate actions to ensure service levels are met (e.g., Secure Score).
- Implementing and managing Microsoft 365 mobile device management (MDM) policies and configurations.
- Managing and maintaining third-party integrations with Microsoft 365 services.
- Configuring and deploying Intune policies and profiles for mobile devices and applications.
- Implementing security controls and compliance policies on devices, such as device encryption and remote wipe.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and security best practices.
- Manage and optimize Azure environments, controlling costs and managing security
- A strong understanding of Azure deployments and management.
- Manage and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure for remote desktop services.
- Deploy and configure virtual desktops to meet the business requirements.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect virtual desktop environments.
Education Requirements, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to understand and analyze complex issues
- Self-motivated, detail orientated, highly organized and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner with a high level of quality
- At least 8 years relevant IT experience fully supporting SMB/MSP environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
- Developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks for various systems, such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to IT policies, procedures, and standards
- In-depth knowledge of Office 365 services, including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Azure AD.
