About the job Security Service Technician
We are seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Security Service Technician to join an outstanding team. In this role, you will respond to a variety of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency or after-hours calls in a timely manner. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing defective parts, as well as debugging systems for more complex issues. Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety evaluations and adhere to safe working practices.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, upholding the highest standards of service excellence.
- Complete service orders with a focus on quality assurance and safety compliance.
- Demonstrate autonomy and decision-making capabilities in the field.
- Provide comprehensive troubleshooting, service, and repair of low-voltage systems across various commercial and enterprise settings.
- Ensure all repairs are tested and aligned with company policies and standards.
- Document all service activities, including notes, photographs, and communications, in a timely and detailed manner.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service after hours.
- Maintain company vehicle in accordance with company guidelines.
- Uphold a professional image and demeanor at all times.
- Offer feedback for service improvement and communicate scheduling concerns effectively.
- Perform additional on-site services as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience with security systems, installation, service and programming.
- Technical education or certification in electronics or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workflow and resources in a technical environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Relevant certifications in security systems technologies (such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, AMAG, Avigilon).
- Proficiency with technical tools and software relevant to security system installation and maintenance.
- Physical aptitude to handle installation and maintenance activities as required.
