Job Functions:

Security Systems Service Technician

  • Install CCTV, Cameras, Access Control, and Intrusion hardware.
  • Assist in testing installed equipment and provide basic programming.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems and/or equipment.
  • Responsible for updating the team lead on the status of all work performed daily.
  • Notify the team leads daily of any materials needed to complete duties.
  • Perform additional Security Technician and related functions as assigned by the team lead and deemed within the general skill and ability level of a productive Security Technician in our industry.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in CCTV, Cameras, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion, installation & programming
  • Certifications like Lenel, CCure, Avigilon, and Milestone are desired.
  • Required to adhere to OSHA Safety Standards.
  • All employees will be required to pass all background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug screenings.

Additional Job Description Information:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure in a new construction commercial environment such as Hospitals, Data Centers, Airports, and Commercial Retail facilities.
  • Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems, and on tenant improvement projects.
  • Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
  • Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
  • Installation of wireless access routers, patch panels, and internet technology devices.
  • Perform and learn how to properly deal with troubleshooting issues per company standards.
  • Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and inner-duct.
  • Repairing cable termination, and cable runs.
  • Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
  • Completing paperwork such as timesheets, and checklists.

Requirements:

  • Perform installations for structured cabling, security systems, access control, and other related cable systems for large commercial installations.
  • Professional appearance, positive and respectful attitude.
  • A valid drivers license, valid car insurance, and reliable transportation
  • The ability to pass a company standard drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be available for 40-plus hours.
