Access Control Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Access Control Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of access control systems, security integration solutions, and structured cabling. This position offers long-term growth potential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and troubleshoot access control systems, including card readers, mag locks, electric strikes, door contacts, and request-to-exit sensors.
• Mount, wire, and configure security devices such as CCTV cameras, alarm panels, and intrusion detection hardware.
• Pull, terminate, and secure structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, RS-485, and low-voltage wiring) for security devices.
• Integrate access control systems with CCTV, alarm monitoring platforms, and networked security solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to execute precise installations.
• Perform system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and compliance with security standards.
• Work independently or in a team to complete installations on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site, ensuring all materials and tools are properly managed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience installing and servicing access control systems, security devices, and structured cabling.
• Strong proficiency in terminating and labeling Cat5e/Cat6, RS-485, and low-voltage wiring.
• Experience with commercial security integration projects, including multi-door access control setups.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, working on lifts).
• Availability for 40+ hours per week, with potential for overtime.
