We are currently seeking applications for Alarm Technicians for service and project assignments within the 4-6 hour radius of where you live. This role involves the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of structured cabling systems in diverse settings. The position is full-time and entails significant travel. Candidates should be eager to learn and able to assist in other cabling environments as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain diverse cabling infrastructures.
  • Execute low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including some concrete drilling and conduit work.
  • Ensure cable management and safety compliance in all installations.
  • Assist in pre-installation processes by designing and planning technical solutions.
  • Install cable support structures like j-hooks, cable racks, and inner duct.
  • Conduct system tests to verify the functionality of installed cables and devices.
  • Address and resolve issues with cable networks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and legal standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors, including company vehicle maintenance and mileage logging.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Cable Technician.
  • Strong proficiency in installing and troubleshooting structured cabling in retail settings.
  • Required state licenses for low voltage, burglar alarm, fire alarm, security, and CCTV.
  • Willingness for extensive travel and flexible work schedules, including on-call and night shifts
  • Familiarity with blueprints and site maps.
  • Additional experience in CCTV, voice, and fire alarm cabling is beneficial.
  • Able to identify colors and learn color codes.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and with both copper and fiber installations.
  • Skilled in operating boom or scissor lifts and comfortable working at heights.
  • Possession of PPE, basic telecommunication tools, and hand tools.
  • Reliable personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Strong cabling infrastructure knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, customer relationship, and digital literacy skills.
  • Experience in conduit installation is advantageous.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record for the past three years.
