A growing team is seeking BICSI Certified Low Voltage Project Technicians to support installation, troubleshooting, and repair of Copper and Fiber cabling in commercial and industrial settings. This is a full-time role that requires occasional travel and a willingness to contribute to various structured cabling projects.

Requirements:

  • BICSI Certification required

  • Prior experience as a Data Cable Technician

  • Willingness to travel within a 3-hour radius of Kansas City

  • Flexible scheduling, including early mornings (7:00 7:30 AM start)

  • Ability to read blueprints and site maps

  • Experience with CCTV, voice, and data cabling preferred

  • Strong understanding of color codes and wire identification

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights

  • Ability to operate boom or scissor lifts

  • Basic telecom tools, PPE, and reliable transportation required

  • Knowledge of cabling infrastructure essential

  • Strong attention to detail and safety practices

  • Proficient with smartphones and Microsoft Office applications

  • Conduit installation experience is a plus

  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years)

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems

  • Communicate daily with project managers regarding progress and next steps

  • Install low voltage cabling, support structures, and perform limited conduit work

  • Ensure all cables are neatly bundled and secured per safety guidelines

  • Perform tests to confirm proper operation of cable systems and components

  • Maintain high standards for workmanship and cabling neatness

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in cable networks

Compensation: $33 - $38 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
