The Security Technician role involves installing, servicing, and programming security systems in various environments, including hospitals and commercial spaces. Candidates should have strong technical skills, be OSHA 10 certified, and demonstrate a commitment to long-term career growth within the company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and Maintenance: Install and service security systems, with a focus on Axis cameras, to meet high-volume client requirements. Certification in Axis cameras is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Cut into doors, install and service cameras, card readers, and program various security systems.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with clients, architects, and engineers to understand and meet project needs.
  • Project Planning: Craft detailed work plans for security system installation and maintenance, effectively organizing resources and timelines.
  • Technical Support: Offer hands-on technical support, troubleshooting issues that arise with security systems.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety codes and industry best practices during all tasks. OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Financial Tracking: Handle aspects of financial tracking, including timekeeping, invoicing, and expense monitoring to support project financial health and client trust.
  • Quality Assurance: Apply quality assurance measures to deliver top-tier security solutions.
  • Project Support: Provide reliable assistance and expertise to project leads throughout the project cycle.
  • Site Evaluations: Perform site evaluations, supervise the deployment and functional testing of security apparatus, particularly in hospitals, commercial retail, and other multi-room environments.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain consistent communication with all involved parties.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience with security systems, particularly in the installation and programming of Axis cameras.
  • Technical education or certification in electronics or a related field.
  • Certification in Axis cameras is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage workflow and resources in a high-demand technical environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications in security systems technologies.
  • Proficiency with technical tools and software relevant to security system installation and maintenance.
  • Physical aptitude to handle installation and maintenance activities as required.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • OSHA 10 safety certification is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Internet protocol and experience with port forwarding.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to long-term career development within the company.
