About the job Controls Superintendent
We're hiring a seasoned Field Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial Building Automation and Controls projects throughout the Gainesville and Jacksonville markets. This role oversees installation teams, interfaces with customers on-site, and ensures technical execution is aligned with project requirements. Candidates should bring strong experience with control system platforms like Niagara, Delta, and Alerton, and a proven ability to manage field technicians in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site teams performing control system installations, ensuring safety, quality, and timeline adherence.
- Serve as the point of contact on active jobs for technicians, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers to align fieldwork with design documents and project scope.
- Lead daily planning meetings, assign technician tasks, and resolve issues impacting productivity or quality.
- Review drawings, submittals, and sequence of operations to guide proper system implementation and commissioning.
- Conduct customer walk-throughs, manage punch lists, and drive completion of all field deliverables.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Building Automation Controls experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or field superintendent capacity.
- Hands-on familiarity with Niagara, Delta, and/or Alerton systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, control wiring, network architecture, and integration methods.
- Ability to read schematics, control diagrams, floor plans, and technical submittals.
- Capable of leading job site meetings, coordinating labor, and driving project momentum.
- Based in or willing to travel frequently to sites throughout Gainesville and Jacksonville, with some travel to Tampa.

- $95k- $110k base salary depending on experience
