Summary:
The Structured Cabling Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic networks. This includes managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and teams while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee installation and quality control of cabling systems.
- Manage and support field technicians and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary client contact for project updates and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI) and safety protocols.
- Track project progress, costs, and deliverables; provide final reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 35+ years in structured cabling or telecommunications project management.
- Certifications: Preferred PMP, BICSI (RCDD or equivalent), or OSHA safety certification.
- Skills: Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, with expertise in structured cabling systems and industry standards.
This role requires a proactive leader capable of delivering high-quality cabling solutions on time and within budget.
