About the job Estimator
We are currently looking to add an Estimator to the team. This person will be responsible for assisting with take-offs and compiling bid proposals for large scale projects. We are looking for a key player to add to the team, so we are open to all qualified candidates and will offer competitive salary and benefits for the right person. Being a small team, this role will offer the ability to impact the short- and long-term growth and direction of the organization from day one. The current team consists of 4 Senior estimators.
For this addition, we will consider all levels of experience. Most important factors are: basic site/earthwork knowledge, work ethic, cultural fit, great attitude, team oriented. This position will require contribution at all levels of the bidding process to include: plan take-offs, vendor quotes, quantity calculations, product specification understanding and pricing, creating and tracking RFIs, value engineering recommendations as needed. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to work in a dynamic, growing environment.
Qualifications:
- This role requires someone who has at least intermediate knowledge of/experience with commercial Site Development/Earthwork and is able to effectively and efficiently read and understand site/civil drawings.
- Prior field experience with a Site Development contractor would also be a huge plus.
- Civil Engineering degree is preferred, not required.
- Must be proficient with MS Outlook and other MS Office products
- Prior experience using AGTEK, or other similar dirt take-off software is highly preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct plan take-offs, gather vendor quotes, calculate quantities, and understand product specifications and pricing.
- Collaborate with the team to create and track Requests for Information (RFI) and provide value engineering recommendations when necessary.
- Play an integral role in all aspects of the bidding process, contributing at various levels to ensure the success of our projects.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting project deadlines.
- Utilize your expertise in commercial Site Development and Earthwork to read and comprehend site/civil drawings effectively and efficiently.

- Base Salary: $120,000 - 150,000 per year
