We are seeking a qualified Test & Inspect Fire Systems Specialist to conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire suppression systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Extinguisher, and Kitchen Hood systems and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire suppression systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems
  • Ensure all inspection tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers on-site, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Upload inspection reports and pictures of system failures or required services to the designated reporting platform within 24 hours.
  • Provide weekly closeout reports summarizing inspections and identifying urgent issues.
  • Assist the inside sales team by providing necessary inspection data.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, including time sheets, service work orders, and expense reports.
  • Support the sales team during the estimating phase and system demonstrations when necessary.
  • Obtain industry certifications such as NICET or CSA within the first year of employment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsBasic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience inspecting and testing fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
  • Proficiency in computer operating systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to address customer concerns effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to pass background checks as required by customers.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell systems including Fire-Lite, Notifier, Silent Knight, and Gamewell-FCI
  • Three or more years of experience inspecting and testing fire systems, including kitchen hoods, backflows, clean agent systems, pre-action systems, fire pumps, and fire hydrants.
  • Experience using Building Reports software.
  • Familiarity with EST fire alarm panels.
  • Hands-on experience installing or repairing kitchen hood systems.
  • NICET, CSA, or other industry-related certifications.
