Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time, results-driven Security Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will respond to routine and non-routine service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency or after-hours calls in a timely manner, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing defective parts across a range of low-voltage and electronic security systems. You'll also support new installations and small project work as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service, maintenance, and emergency calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components on installed security and fire alarm systems
  • Install, configure, and support network systems and related equipment for assigned projects
  • Complete detailed service reports and documentation to support accurate invoicing and job tracking
  • Perform preventative maintenance on installed low-voltage systems
  • Coordinate with team members and specialists to support service delivery across assigned accounts
  • Provide technical assistance, systems checkout, and troubleshooting for new and existing installations
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations along with company health and safety policies
  • Maintain company vehicle in accordance with company guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience servicing, integrating, or programming access control, video surveillance, intrusion, or fire alarm systems
  • Strong technical aptitude with hand and power tools (drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
  • Solid troubleshooting and programming skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve system issues
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel locally to job sites, with minimal overnight travel required
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

  • CCTV experience with platforms such as Axis, Avigilon, Verint
  • Access control experience with AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Verkada, S2
  • Intrusion detection experience with DMP or Bosch
  • Fire alarm systems experience
