Parts Manager
Job Description:
High volume Parts Manager for heavy equipment dealer
This position is tasked with overseeing the inventory, sale, and distribution of parts for heavy equipment across various brands within their branch location, aiming to meet and surpass the company's sales goals and profit margin objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To successfully execute the role, the individual must efficiently handle each required duty. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Formulate, implement, and oversee the annual department business plan at the branch level.
- Control operating and capital budgets to achieve or surpass sales, financial, and gross profit goals.
- Aid in crafting a marketing strategy to boost product sales.
- Oversee the efforts of multiple Parts Counter Sales Representatives & Warehouse Specialists.
- Educate team members on sales techniques, including suggestive selling and closing strategies.
- Maintain a sufficient inventory level to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external clients.
- Address customer issues promptly to maintain loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Oversee and refine reporting programs for enhanced accuracy and promptness.
- Manage the storage and dispatch of parts needed to fulfill responsibilities.
- Act as Petty Cashier.
- Participate in training and parts meetings to remain informed about new products and promotions.
Qualifications: The criteria below are necessary for the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required for this position.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must have experience in high volume parts department.
- Successful background and drug screening.
- Experience in the industry.
- Proven management skills.
Education: Required formal education or training includes degrees, certifications, licenses, and/or registration prerequisites.
- A degree with a focus on industrial equipment, such as construction or forestry equipment, is preferred.
- Continuous training is provided.
