Position Summary:

The Litigation Department Director is not merely a position but a commitment towards uplifting, guiding, and navigating the litigation team towards delivering unparalleled legal services. This role requires a seasoned attorney who not only brings a rich history of trial experience and large verdicts but is also a spirited leader, a mentor, and a strategist in navigating the litigation landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Oversee, manage, and lead the litigation department, ensuring strategies, and actions are aligned with the firms vision and objectives.
  • Mentorship: Engage in the development, coaching, and mentorship of trial attorneys within the department.
  • Strategic Litigation: Spearhead and guide the strategic approach toward case management, trial preparation, and representation.
  • Data and Analytics: Utilize KPIs and data-driven approaches to optimize the departments performance and case management.
  • Client and Case Management: Depending on the discussions and your expertise, manage and litigate your own cases.
  • Collaboration: Work in tandem with the pre-suit team and intake department, ensuring seamless transition and management of cases.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • In good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • 5-10 years of plaintiffs side experience, with significant trial and leadership exposure.
  • (Preferred) Board-Certified Attorney in Civil Litigation.
  • Proven career history of obtaining large verdicts.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with FileVine (training provided).
  • Acute attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Robust organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Adept in managing, leading, and inspiring a team of attorneys.
