Position Summary:
The firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Law Associate with expertise in real estate closings to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a mix of business law matters and real estate transactions while supervising and mentoring paralegals involved in real estate closings. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated attorney to contribute meaningfully to a growing and dynamic legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel and representation to clients on various business law matters, including entity formation, contract drafting and review, mergers, and other transactional work.
  • Oversee and manage the real estate closing process, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals working on real estate closings to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Draft and review documents related to real estate transactions, such as purchase agreements, leases, and title documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering practical, responsive legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to create strategies that address client needs and goals.
  • Stay current on changes in laws and regulations affecting business and real estate law.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business law and real estate law.
  • Strong understanding of real estate closings, title work, and related documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor paralegals effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
