Network Operations Specialist (Evening & Weekend Support)

Prequel Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician for a long-term contract role in Harrisburg, PA. This role is essential for providing after-hours support to ensure the smooth operation of network services across various Commonwealth agencies. This position is an hourly W2 contract role with a payrate up to $21/hour, depending on experience, and offers health and retirement benefits. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues using tools like Solar Winds.
  • Provide Level 1 support, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or third-party providers.
  • Respond to system outages and network alarms, ensuring quick issue resolution.
  • Communicate network status updates and incident reports to stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating knowledgebase documentation.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in network support, help desk, or system administration.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle varying IT skill levels.
  • Familiarity with incident management, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and monitoring tools.

Schedule: After-hours and weekend shifts.
