About the role:
The Accounting Manager / Supervisor will lead the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities (for-profit and non-profit) within the Health Admins group. This role ensures timely and accurate month-end closes, high-quality documentation, and audit-ready financial statements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and a process-oriented mindset to elevate the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Oversight & Month-End Close
- Own and manage the month-end close process across all entities (CA, Sedera, PH, HA, Tru).
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances prepared by staff accountants.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a standardized close calendar and checklist for all entities.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly.
- Prepare and review management reports and variance analyses.
Financial Reporting & Audit Readiness
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Work with external auditors, providing schedules, support, and explanations as needed.
- Review and approve intercompany transactions, allocations, and eliminations.
Technical Accounting
- Research and apply US GAAP to unique or complex transactions.
- Assist the Controller with accounting memos, policy updates, and implementation of new standards.
- Provide training and guidance to accountants on proper treatment and documentation.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise a team of 3–4 accountants (outsourced), ensuring accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.
- Coach team members to improve quality, consistency, and timeliness of work.
- Identify process gaps and implement automation or standardization opportunities.
- Foster clear communication and collaboration across entities and departments.
Support the Operation
- Prepare and/or review customer invoices, as well as monitor collections.
- Manage reporting from our CRM systems.
- Identify process gaps and implement automation or standardization opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or manager-level role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-entity accounting structures.
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with the following software: QuickBooks, Adaptive, Salesforce, Bill.com.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred: - CPA (active or in progress) or equivalent qualification.
- Audit firm or multi-entity consolidation experience.
- Experience working with outsourced or remote teams.
- Familiarity with both for-profit and non-profit accounting.
