Job Description:
The HR Governance Senior Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the HR organizations risk management and control environment. As a key member of the HR Governance team, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor, evaluating risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving internal controls within HR. This role also supports audit and regulatory engagements, acting as the central liaison between HR functional areas and Internal Audit/Regulatory Relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Management Control Testing Framework
- Assist in implementing a control testing framework to strengthen HRs internal controls.
- Conduct testing programs to evaluate the design, adequacy, and adherence of controls, identifying potential weaknesses that could pose risks to HR and the enterprise.
- Embedded Risk Management for HR
- Contribute to the development of control standards and requirements across HR.
- Assess inherent risks and control environments of HR functions and their impact at the enterprise level.
- Process, Risk, & Control (PRC) Inventory
- Support the expansion and validation of the PRC inventory to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Align PRC inventory with relevant rules and regulations.
- Audit and Regulatory Engagement
- Coordinate audit and regulatory inquiries, ensuring quality and accuracy in responses.
- Maintain documentation and quality assurance for exams and audits.
- Incident Management
- Ensure timely submission of incidents, adhering to internal requirements.
- Policy and Procedure Management
- Coordinate the review and update of HR policies and procedures.
- Data Analytics and Reporting
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and periodic reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in audit, compliance, or risk management, preferably in financial services.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: CPA or CIA certifications are beneficial but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing processes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to identify risks, communicate exceptions, and develop effective controls.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analytics tools.
- Automated control testing experience is a plus.
- Mindset:
- Effective challenge mentality with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Demonstrable experience maintaining risk management documentation.
- Schedule:
- Flexible to work EMEA hours (4 PM to 1 AM, Monday-Friday).
Must-Have:
- 2 to 5 years of work experience in audit, compliance, or risk management.
