We're seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Technician IV to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be stationed primarily in Hillsboro, Oregon, providing customer support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of photolithography equipment. This position offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech environment, receiving training in Austin, Texas, or Hillsboro, Oregon for 1-3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure it operates within factory specifications.
- Guide customers on how to operate and maintain system equipment.
- Serve as the company liaison for customer projects, including installations and major repairs.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs independently, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing queries regarding system performance.
- Accurately document service activities and provide periodic reports.
- Train customer personnel, ensuring proficiency in service operations.
- Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Adhere to customer policies and protocols, including COVID-19 safety measures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience (technical training, military experience, or technical school).
- Experience: 5-7 years in semiconductor manufacturing or a related field.
- Skills:
- Hands-on mechanical skills and experience with electronic testing tools.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems (preferred for system troubleshooting).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Additional Expertise (a plus):
- Optical systems, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals.
- Customer support experience is highly desirable.
