Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Lewiston, ID. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a strong background in surgical procedures, particularly in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and General Surgery. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that surgical operations are conducted smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining sterile conditions, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments before and after procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide critical support to the surgical team during complex procedures.
- Collaborate with the entire healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care in the operating room.
Must-Haves:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist course.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required within 6 months of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of the principles and procedures related to surgery.
- 2-3 years of acute care, hospital-based operating room experience, specifically in Ortho, Neuro, and General Surgery.
