About the Role:

Join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Manager for Oral Roberts University, a conservative, faith-based university in Tulsa, OK. This is a strategic role that offers the opportunity to lead a skilled, multi-generational team, managing the maintenance and operations of 41 campus buildings, including administrative and residential facilities. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you will oversee a team of 30 Maintenance Technicians specializing in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and repairs. Experience with boilers is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of 30 maintenance professionals, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained campus environment.
  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs across a wide range of services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, grounds, janitorial, and mailroom operations.
  • Oversee construction, renovation, and energy management projects to meet both short- and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with university partners to provide exceptional service, proactively address maintenance needs, and ensure optimal functionality and safety of campus facilities.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs and business performance metrics to achieve strong operational and financial results.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Boilers: Demonstrated expertise in boiler maintenance and repair is required.
  • Leadership Skills: At least 3 years of management experience leading maintenance teams in large, complex properties.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems, as well as landscaping and energy management.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Exceptional people skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated P&L management experience and a record of successfully managing budgets.
