Industrial Electrician - Underground

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our underground zinc operation in northern New York State. The role requires relocation and involves working five days a week with 10-hour shifts, followed by two days off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and run cables, wires, and communication systems.
• Install J-boxes, control boxes, and switch boxes for mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits, motors, fans, controllers, VFDs, and transformers.
• Perform terminations and high-voltage splicing.
• Develop an understanding of hoisting and crushing operations for troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for safe and efficient job performance.
• Must be able to safely perform tasks that have potential safety risks for self and others.
