Industrial Electrician Supervisor Underground

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician Supervisor to join our underground zinc operation, located within a 2-hour drive from the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario, the Adirondack Mountains, and world-class skiing at Lake Placid. Additionally, Montreal and Ottawa are just a 2-3 hour trip away, offering easy access to explore Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the electrical team in daily operations.
• Prioritize, coordinate, and assign work for the day.
• Manage inventory, schedule tasks, and order materials and supplies for upcoming projects.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, including PLC panels, drives, motors, fans, VFDs, transformers, pumps, and generators.
• Work with electrical systems, including 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, and DC voltages.
• Read and interpret electrical prints.
• Support the electrical team both underground and on the surface as needed.
• Develop a working knowledge of hoisting and crushing operations and assist in troubleshooting related systems.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with department managers and employees.
• Proven time management skills.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs and DC/AC drives.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions efficiently and safely.
• Must be capable of performing tasks safely, without endangering the health and safety of oneself or others.
