Backend Software Engineer

About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build and scale production systems supporting a growing financial technology platform.

This role offers end-to-end ownership across backend services, APIs, infrastructure, and scalable systems. You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to design, build, deploy, and improve reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Own engineering projects from architecture and development through production deployment.
• Contribute to backend architecture, infrastructure, and engineering standards.
• Build reliable systems supporting high-volume financial transactions.
• Develop and maintain production services using modern engineering practices.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, reliability, and system performance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams on technical decisions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Work across different areas of the platform based on business and technical priorities.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Experience designing and building scalable production backend systems.
• Proven experience owning software projects from design through production.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field.
• Strong software engineering, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to work on-site 4 days per week in New York City.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go or Node.js.
• Experience with Terraform and AWS.
• Fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure experience.
• Experience at a high-growth technology company or startup.
• Experience building high-scale APIs, distributed systems, or payment infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits

• $180,000–$230,000 annual salary, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Arrangement

On-Site – New York, NY

Employees are expected to work from the New York office 4 days per week.
