What You Will Do:
- Serve as the main point of contact for buyers and sales teams to understand market needs, trends, and specific requirements.
- Translate buyers requirements into clear, actionable design briefs for the development process
- Present product concepts, prototypes, and final designs to buyers, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Lead the design and development process, working closely with designers, material suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring they align with buyer expectations and company quality standards.
- Manage the selection of materials, colors, and finishes to meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Conduct product testing to ensure durability, comfort, and performance standards are met.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure that the production process runs smoothly and on schedule.
- Monitor production quality, resolving any issues that arise during manufacturing.
- Work with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products to buyers.
- Analyze post-production feedback to inform future product development and improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest footwear trends, materials, and technologies to ensure our products remain competitive.
- Maintain detailed records of product specifications, production schedules, and communication with stakeholders.
- Prepare regular reports on product development progress, including key milestones and any potential risks.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Product Design (Footwear), Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in product development, must be in the footwear industry.
- Strong understanding of the footwear production process, including material selection, pattern making, and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with buyers and manufacturers.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and quality.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the product development lifecycle.
