Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Description:

• Location: Fully remote, Central Europe Time Zone
• Start date: ASAP
• Languages: English is mandatory

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Azure Compute Services: Manage and configure Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities.

• Azure Networking: Oversee Azure Virtual Networks, VPN gateways, and ExpressRoute to ensure secure and reliable network connectivity and performance. Implement network security groups and rules to maintain organizational security. Manage Azure Firewall to control and log network traffic for enhanced security and compliance.
• Azure Storage Solutions: Administer Azure Blob Storage and File Storage, including security policies, backup procedures, and performance optimization to meet business requirements and compliance standards.
• Azure Monitoring & Management: Utilize Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center to provide comprehensive monitoring, performance tracking, and proactive threat detection. Implement log analytics and develop Kusto Query Language (KQL) queries for data analysis and visualization to enhance system insights and decision-making.
• Cost Management and Optimization: Regularly review service usage and cost reports via Azure Cost Management tools. Implement cost-saving practices such as resizing instances, leveraging reserved instances, and optimizing resource usage without compromising on performance.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong understanding of Azure cloud computing concepts and services

• Hands-on experience with Azure VMs, AKS clusters, and Azure networking
• Experience with Azure storage solutions, monitoring and management tools, and cost optimization strategies
• Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
