We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in data center commissioning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC, cooling, and mechanical systems are installed, tested, and operating efficiently to meet design and operational requirements. This role requires expertise in chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, cooling towers, air handling units (AHUs), pumps, and related infrastructure within mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the commissioning process of mechanical systems in data centers to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform functional and performance testing of HVAC, chilled water, and air distribution systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, test procedures, and reports for mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with design, construction, and operational teams to identify and resolve issues during the commissioning process.
  • Conduct site inspections and system validation to ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and other industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for mechanical systems and components.
  • Document findings and prepare detailed reports outlining any deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, energy efficiency, and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to align expectations and deliverables.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to facility operations personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in commissioning mechanical systems in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, cooling, and airflow management in data center environments.
  • Familiarity with commissioning tools such as flow meters, data loggers, pressure gauges, and thermal imaging.
  • Experience working with commissioning processes such as Level 1-5 commissioning (Cx) per ASHRAE guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load analysis software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
