Job Summary:

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of all construction activities at a hyperscale data center project site. This role requires extensive knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations, as well as the ability to implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures. The QA/QC Manager will collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all work meets the required specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System Implementation:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure all QA/QC procedures are in compliance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality standards.
    • Review and approve material and equipment submittals to ensure they meet project specifications.
    • Implement and manage the projects quality control processes, including inspection and testing plans.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any quality-related issues.
      • Maintain comprehensive records of all QA/QC activities, including test results, inspections, and non-conformance reports.
      • Prepare and submit detailed QA/QC reports to project stakeholders.
      • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for review.
        • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met.
        • Conduct regular quality meetings with project stakeholders to discuss QA/QC issues and progress.
        • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters on the project site.
          • Provide training and support to project staff on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
          • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement among project personnel.
            • Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
            • Liaise with regulatory bodies and third-party inspectors as necessary.

            Qualifications:

            • Education:
            • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in QA/QC or construction management are a plus.
              • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC management within the construction industry, with a focus on hyperscale data centers or similar large-scale projects.
              • Proven track record of implementing and managing quality control systems on complex construction projects.
                • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
                • Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, methodologies, and best practices.
                • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
                • Proficient in quality management software and tools.
                • Ability to analyze complex data and produce comprehensive reports.
                  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is highly desirable.
                  • OSHA 30 certification and other relevant safety training.

                  Compensation Package, DOQ/DOE:
