Key Responsibilities

  • Craft and update job descriptions and role specifications.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
  • Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

2. Employee Relations

  • Serve as a mediator between employees and management to address concerns and grievances.
  • Promote a positive work environment through open communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Implement measures to address workplace harassment or discrimination.

3. Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance evaluation systems and KPIs.
  • Facilitate performance reviews and feedback discussions.
  • Develop improvement plans for underperforming employees and reward high achievers.

4. Training and Development

  • Conduct training needs assessments and design skill development programs.
  • Collaborate with external trainers for specialized programs.
  • Support employees career growth through coaching and upskilling opportunities.

5. Compensation and Benefits

  • Design competitive salary and benefits packages aligned with market trends.
  • Administer payroll processing and address discrepancies.
  • Introduce wellness programs and employee reward systems.

6. Compliance and Legal Obligations

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, workplace safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including contracts, NDAs, and disciplinary records.

7. HR Information Systems and Data Management

  • Manage HR software for recordkeeping and analytics.
  • Generate reports on HR metrics such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment.

8. Workforce Planning and Strategy

  • Analyze workforce capacity and implement strategies to address skill gaps.
  • Plan for temporary workforce needs and succession planning for key positions.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

9. Organizational Development

  • Drive change management and restructuring initiatives.
  • Support leadership development programs and cross-functional collaboration.

10. Health, Safety, and Wellness

  • Conduct workplace safety audits and emergency response drills.
  • Promote mental health and stress management programs.
  • Ensure a safe, hygienic, and ergonomic work environment.

11. Exit Management

  • Oversee employee exits, including resignations and terminations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and process final settlements.
  • Manage handovers, revoke system access, and maintain alumni networks.

12. Employee Engagement and Retention

  • Organize team-building activities and recognition programs.
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and implement actionable insights.
  • Develop and execute retention strategies to minimize attrition.

13. Policy Development and Implementation

  • Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbooks.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies and address violations.

14. Diversity and Inclusion

  • Promote workplace diversity and create an inclusive environment.
  • Organize cultural awareness and inclusion events.

15. Strategic HR Initiatives

  • Align HR strategies with broader organizational objectives.
  • Utilize workforce analytics to anticipate and prepare for future trends.
  • Support leadership during organizational changes such as mergers or downsizing.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management (minimum 5-8 years).
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HR software and data management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
