Job Description:
Job Overview: As a Microsoft POS Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Point of Sale (POS) systems using Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and provide effective solutions to streamline their retail operations. Your expertise in Microsoft POS technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service will contribute to the success of our clients' businesses. 5 years of experience in MS Commerce is recommended.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Implementation and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and customize Microsoft POS systems to meet client requirements. Collaborate with clients to define system parameters, including inventory management, pricing, discounts, and promotions.
- Integrate the POS system with other business applications, such as ERP and CRM systems.
- Good exposure in Retail SDK upgrade to Commerce SDK.
- Training and Support:
- Conduct user training sessions to ensure clients understand the features and functionalities of the Microsoft POS system.
- Provide ongoing technical support to troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide timely resolutions to problems.
- System Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Stay updated with the latest releases and updates of Microsoft POS technologies.
- Plan and execute system upgrades to ensure clients are using the most current and efficient solutions.
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as data backups and database optimization.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create comprehensive documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
- Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights on system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and providing timely updates on project progress.
Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft POS systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail or Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS).
- Strong understanding of retail business processes, including inventory management, sales, and customer relationship management.
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing Microsoft POS systems to meet specific business requirements.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SQL Server, and Azure, is a plus.
- Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail or Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS) is desirable.
