Operation Manager
KEY Accountabilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Implementation
- Work with general manger/ Senior Operations Manager and management to identify, plan and execute opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance the service experience for Starbucks partners and customers and increase profitability.
- Plan and execute local store marketing strategies with cross-functional teams to increase sales while controlling operational costs.
- Identify trends and forecast store budgets.
2. Operation Management
- Challenge and inspire partners to achieve business results.
- Consult on and support the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Operations team.
- Effectively manage the assigned region to ensure overall execution of Operational Excellence and delivery against established key performance indicators.
- Ensure that assigned region adhere to operational compliance requirements.
- Help provide solutions downward and feedback upward in regard to programs, policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate market performance.
- Monitor field implementation of key and new initiatives.
- Provide support to underperforming stores to optimize practices and programs and drive continuous improvement.
3. Development
- Plan and support opening of new stores according to annual plan
4. Business Partnerships
- Partner with the Operations Services to identify, plan and execute areas of improvement to ensure overall smooth operations in assigned region.
- Liaise with other functional teams, eg. Store Development, Marketing, Partner Resources and Learning, etc..to drive results.
5. Staff Supervision & Development
- Provide coaching, direction and support to a team of District Managers and Store Managers to achieve results in areas of partner, business and customer
- Support training and development of the assigned operations teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 yrs experience in managing multi-unit retail, restaurant or service
organizations of which 5 yrs in field management (eg. district manager) - Progressive experience with and influencing business partners, financial analysis and P&L responsibility, planning and organizational project management skills.
