Senior Engineer

                          Senior Engineer Information Technology (IT)

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Assist the IT Superintendent in managing and overseeing IT projects from inception to completion.
2. Provide technical support and services to various IT sections and other departments.
3. Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the IT Superintendent.
4. Conduct regular system audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide guidance to IT staff members.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend
   improvements.
6. Coordinate with vendors and external partners for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and
   services.
7. Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and project updates to the IT Superintendent
   and other stakeholders.
8. Provide technical services and solutions for communication systems, ensuring optimal performance
   and reliability.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

1. 1. Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT engineering or a related role.
3. Strong project management skills.
4. Deep understanding of the IT platforms and systems had on mining site and quickly analyse gaps and develop an IT improvement plan.
5. Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or ITIL are preferred.
6. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, and system administration.
7. Fluent in English (written and verbal).
8. 4+ years of experience in the mining, industrial, or construction industries.
9. Experience in installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers.
10. 4+ years of experience supporting LAN and WAN network technologies, including configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software.
11. Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures.
12. Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a patient and methodical approach.
