Interior Designer

Job overview and Goal of function

The function of this position is to manage the execution and coordination of Design projects in coordination with General Manager and/or Project Managers of the project. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and presenting creative, solution-based plans for the customer and projects in the areas of space planning, drafting/CAD, furniture products, color and materials selections, as well as internal graphic and verbal presentations to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Create drawings in AutoCAD and/or other platforms as needed (typicals, furniture plans, 3D modelling etc.)
• Verify design specifications as received from internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitating requirements gathering through client meetings and ensuring consistent, transparent communication throughout the engagement.
• Creating interior space plans and proposals to meet the client's needs using latest industry standards as applicable.
• Communicating with local and international partners, suppliers and manufacturers to fulfill client requirements of products/materials etc.
• Proposing product selections for various types of clients and projects (government tenders, commercial office spaces etc.)
• Preparing drawings and supporting documents (with specification) for client/project submission including technical submissions, mood boards and concept designs
• Identify areas that may require field verification and coordinate actual dimensions with final plan.
• Inventory existing design and product offerings; incorporate in design plans and specifications as needed.
• Project meetings with clients as/when required.
• Consistent updates to General Manager and Project team

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the same field
• Experience with various type of projects (Commercial/residential/retail/F&B etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in architectural, interior design or related field
