  • The Employee Relations Officer has responsibility and accountability for all Employee Relations activity within the organization which involves providing Employee Relations workforce intelligence, troubleshooting risk, operating as a change actor to assist with realigning responsibilities in the company and promoting best practice.
  • Provide support to the Human Resources Manager in the operational and administrative tasks to resolve all matters related to Employee Relations by assisting in developing and implementing effective policies and procedures related to Employee Relations. As well as overseeing personnel administration tasks by providing guidance in the preparation and processing of personnel actions throughout the entire employment period, from hiring to the conclusion of service. Additionally, actively participate in and coordinate with the IT department to develop and effectively utilize HR-related systems.
  • Leads and guides the Employee Relations Team in their day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with HR Manager and propose and suggest employee relations strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation to Management and employees, whenever required.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, and disciplinary cases.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, ensuring fair and impartial resolutions.
  • Act as a key liaison between employees and management to facilitate transparent communication.
  • Lead negotiations and settlements when necessary, emphasizing positive employee relations.
  • Assist and support HR Manager in addressing legal issues related to employee relations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring organizational practices remain compliant.
  • Manage all employment contracts, by monitoring company payroll, reviewing and validating eligible allowance and benefits, while ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and requirements.
  • Manage all administrative circulars and decisions (e.g. early retirement program, promotion, employee transfer, penalties imposed on employees, employee loans).
  • Manage communication with employees with regards to their action letters (i.e. promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions etc.).
  • Oversee employees data and records and ensure their confidentiality.
  • Manage HRMSs master data and ensure its up to date and accurate.
  • Review and validate new joiners salary and applicable allowance and benefits.
  • Review and validate payments to employees, i.e., reimbursements to ensure their compliance with pertaining policies/contract.
  • Provide escalation support with suggestions to ensure all queries related to employees are addressed in a prompt manner.
  • To provide comprehensive Employee Relations workforce data reports which show the performance of the employees in terms of sickness, turnover, staff costs, dismissals, suspensions, and grievances.
  • To use this data to help the HR Manager, Leads formulate leadership and line management development programs.
  • To use his/her Employee Relations expertise and findings from different data sources to feed into the departments annual action plan in terms of addressing and mitigating risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Human Resources or any other related field.
  • HR Professional Certification would be preferred.
  • 5-7 years of related experience of which a minimum of 3-5 years should be in a similar position / responsibility.
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry and regional experience is preferred.
  • Native Arabic speaker is mandatory
