About the job Technology Senior Expert Renewable Assets
- Bachelor's in Finance, Engineering, Sustainable Energy or related. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years in relevant roles in large organizations; at least 4 years in senior managerial roles.
- Solid understanding of power/energy and water industries, including technologies, trends, and major players.
- Experience or deep understanding of Qatar/GCC culture and business environment.
- Lead integration and operations of advanced renewable energy technologies; ensure efficiency, technical compliance, and stakeholder alignment while contributing to sustainability and profitability.
- Renewable Asset Management
- Strategically manage renewable energy assets to ensure optimal operational performance and longevity.
- Design and apply innovative, technology-driven strategies to improve energy output and sustainability.
- Supervise maintenance activities and ensure alignment with industry best practices to minimize downtime and prolong asset life.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental and energy regulations at both local and international levels.
- Lead the integration of renewables with existing energy infrastructure to optimize compatibility and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Performance Monitoring
- Foster strong working relationships with external entities such as regulatory authorities, government bodies, and industry partners.
- Monitor KPIs and generate performance and financial health reports of renewable assets.
- Identify and address inefficiencies in operations to improve performance and profitability.
- Strategic Contribution
- Translate divisional strategy into actionable sectional business plans ensuring both vertical alignment with overall goals and cross-functional coordination.
- People Management
- Lead teams by setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and mentoring for career growth.
- Drive talent development efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and technical competency requirements.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Prepare sectional budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial alignment with approved budgetary frameworks.
- Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Develop and implement robust policies and procedures that ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
- Continuous Improvement
- Lead change management initiatives aimed at process enhancement, system upgrades, and alignment with evolving global standards and business dynamics.
