- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) OR The association of Cost Engineers (ACostE) OR Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) OR chartered institution of civil engineering surveyors (ICES) OR Painting certification for coating quantity surveyor. (anyone)
- Minimum 5 years experience working in an offshore oil & gas production environment.
- Extensive painting inspection background to understand the scope of work.
- Ability to read & understand specifications, engineering drawings, including ISOs, P&IDs, plot plans, piping plans and the like.
- Should be well conversant with the safety & PPE requirements of working in an offshore & onshore environment.
- Ability to enter the inspection data into the required format, in a clear and concise manner with appropriate descriptions.
- Ability to conduct pre-job site walk to identify work scope for the coating refurbishments team.
- Ability to cross check painting contractors measured quantities upon subsequent job award.
- Ability to identify punch list items.
