About the job CFO

Job Purpose:
Hold primary accountability for developing the organizations annual budget, setting financial risk management policies, overseeing financial control and reporting processes, managing operations across various finance units, and serving as a strategic partner to the CEO in driving cost-effective financial management.
Key Accountabilities
Strategy & Budget
  • Define financial strategy, budgeting processes, and operational policies.
  • Lead annual budgeting cycle and ensure alignment with strategic plans.
Risk Policies and Standards
  • Establish and monitor financial risk policies and mitigation measures.
  • Enforce accounting standards and ensure timely financial reporting compliance.
Financial Control & Reporting
  • Review and report financial performance and prepare statutory financials.
  • Oversee treasury functions, optimize remittances, and manage cash flow projections.
  • Analyze financial trends to inform strategic decisions and capital planning.
Operational Finance Oversight
  • Provide strategic direction for accounting, treasury, and insurance functions.
  • Manage financial services across departments including budgeting and cost control.
  • Support business cases and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
  • Ensure adequate liquidity, optimal financing, and cost-effective funding.
Corporate Financial Management
  • Control corporate overhead costs and departmental budgets.
  • Act as a financial advisor to executive leadership; report key financial issues and solutions.
People & Capability Development
  • Supervise and develop finance team performance and capabilities.
  • Plan and support workforce development in line with HR.
  • Pursue continuous personal and team skill enhancement.
