About the job Food Safety Officer (6 months Contract)

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Train and educate employees on food safety and hygiene practices, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety activities, inspections, and training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is required.
  • Proven 5 years of experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the hospitality industry
  • Gender preference: Male
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
  • Must be on a freelance visa able to do secondment
