Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate and Commercial)

Job Purpose:

• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate, commercial, and M&A contracts.
• Lead corporate governance and compliance policy development.
• Ensure legal due diligence across investments and financial activities.
• Maintain and update the corporate compliance framework.
• Provide legal advice on transactions and agreements to mitigate risks.
• Monitor business activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

Education & Experience required

• Bachelor's Law Degree (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
• Master's degree in business law, governance and compliance would be an advantage
• 8 to 10 years experience in same or related field.
• Preferably within corporate governance and compliance fields and/or investment sectors or a well -reputed international law firm with focus on corporate governance compliance and/or investment fields
• At least three years of experience in supporting both commercial and corporate functions within the finance, investment, commercial or corporate governance and compliance fields.
