Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication tasks, including cutting, welding, bending, and assembling metal parts according to specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.

  • Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment and tools.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Handle and transport materials to and from the work area as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members, supervisors, and departments to complete projects efficiently.

  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during fabrication.

  • Identify and resolve fabrication issues or defects in a timely manner.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: Previous experience in fabrication or a related field is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Tools: Experience with hand and power tools, as well as fabrication machinery such as welders, grinders, and saws.

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in fabrication tasks.

  • Safety: Knowledge of and commitment to safety practices and procedures.

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
