Responsibilities:
- Project Evaluation: Review project documents, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and precise cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor bids, and other relevant expenses.
- Bid Preparation: Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information and prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with projects and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance project profitability.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, contracts, change orders, and other relevant documentation.
- Value Engineering: Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or client requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including engineers, designers, and construction managers, to support project planning and execution.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to electrical construction and estimating practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local GTA market conditions and suppliers is an asset.
