Job Description:

Reporting to one of our Principal Architects, the Contract Administrator Architectural ensures contract compliance, maintains and elevates quality standards and design intent through construction, and manages the flow of project documents from tender acceptance to close-out. Responsibilities include overseeing various project documents such as tender evaluations, contracts, meeting minutes, and change orders. The Contract Administrator provides leadership to the consultant team, fostering accountability for project success and ongoing quality improvements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor design teams, monitor work quality and participate in the quality control process of design documentation.

  • Participate in pre-qualification, bidding process, and assist in preparing Letter of Intent and CCDC documents.

  • Provide CA functions including, but not limited to, preparation of new and review of existing contracts, maintaining contract records, negotiating terms, and explaining terms to stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and analysing risks.

  • Ensure constructability in design through QA reviews and actively manage design intent during construction with the Design Team.

  • Chair start-up meetings, attend site meetings, and conduct field reviews.

  • Collaborate with Contract Coordinator for timely information exchange and assist in preparing PCs, SIs, and RFIs.

  • Ensure standards are met on all projects and recommend process or standards improvements for efficiency.

  • Develop, approve, and coordinate work schedules to meet cost, quality, and time objectives. Conduct deficiency reviews before substantial completion.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in construction, site supervision, and/or contract administration for architectural services.

  • Architectural education or certification in architecture, construction, and engineering technology (ACET).

  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and organisational skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within design and contract administration teams and with internal and external clients.

  • Client-focused approach, adept at resolving complex contracting issues with win-win solutions while meeting company requirements and design intent.

  • Previous experience with Project Management software preferred.

  • Proven experience in mentoring and leading junior staff, supporting their growth in technical and industry experience, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
