The Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their development team in Malaysia. You will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that align with customer and business needs. While their team is based in Malaysia, they offer remote work flexibility, ensuring seamless collaboration from anywhere.

Suppose you have a solid background in Software Engineering or DevOps and are familiar with Linux-based systems and containerized technologies like Rancher. In that case, you might be the one we're looking for!

Responsibilities

• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
• Understand stakeholder needs and effectively communicate them to developers.
• Optimize workflows, environments, processes, and systems for both internal and customer-facing applications.
• Identify potential problems, including security vulnerabilities, and implement solutions.
• Automate and enhance development and release processes.
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Diagnose technical issues and develop software updates.
• Participate in project planning and decision-making.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing engineering applications.
• 3+ years of experience working with Linux-based systems.
• Familiarity with Windows-based servers and IIS.
• Experience with Relational and Non-relational Databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL, IBM DB2, Redis, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with containerized technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, etc.).
• Strong project development and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in system security.
• Experience collaborating across multiple departments to execute project plans effectively.
