Job Summary
The Head of HR will lead the human resources function across multiple manufacturing units and group companies, ensuring alignment with business strategy, workforce optimization, and organizational development. This role requires a strategic HR leader with deep experience in manufacturing environments and managing HR operations for diverse group companies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency, and talent sustainability.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with manufacturing KPIs, cost control, and workforce productivity.
- Drive organizational transformation in line with group-wide objectives.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and succession planning for technical and operational roles (engineers, plant managers, production staff).
- Implement leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline for manufacturing and corporate roles.
- Design performance management systems tailored to factory and multi-site operations.
Industrial Relations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations (OSH), and union agreements in manufacturing settings.
- Handle employee relations, disputes, and disciplinary actions in a unionized environment (if applicable).
- Mitigate HR risks across group companies (local and international, if any).
Compensation & Benefits (C&B)
- Develop competitive, productivity-linked compensation structures for blue-collar and white-collar employees.
- Optimize shift allowances, overtime policies, and incentive schemes for plant workers.
HR Digitalization & Analytics
- Lead HRIS implementation (e.g., SAP HR, Oracle) to streamline multi-company payroll, attendance, and reporting.
- Use workforce analytics to reduce turnover, improve training ROI, and forecast labor needs.
Group Company HR Harmonization
- Standardize HR policies, culture, and employer branding across subsidiaries.
- Manage cross-company talent mobility and expatriate assignments (if applicable).
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- 10+ years in HR leadership, with 5+ years in manufacturing (automotive, FMCG, chemicals, or heavy industries preferred).
- Proven experience managing HR for group companies/multi-site operations.
- Strong expertise in industrial relations, union negotiations, and factory workforce management.
- Track record in strategic HR projects (e.g., digital transformation, M&A integration, lean workforce optimization).
- Fluency in HR analytics tools and ERP systems (SAP, Workday, etc.).
Preferred:
- Masters degree in HR, Business, or Industrial Psychology.
- Certification in SHRI, CIPD, or SHRM.
- Experience in international labor standards (if group has global operations).
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
- Strong stakeholder management (CEOs, plant managers, unions).
