Product Development Manager (SPC Flooring)

Job Description:

 The Product Development Manager (freelance role) will lead the development of new carpets and rugs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field and be familiar with SPC flooring.

This position will be working remotely in any country to handle their global market especially in Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of new carpet and rug designs, from concept to production.
2. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure products meet market needs.
3. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the textile industry.
4. Manage the prototyping and testing process to ensure product quality and performance.
5. Source materials and components from suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts as needed.
6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations, incorporating them into product development strategies.
7. Provide leadership and guidance to the product development team.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development in the textile manufacturing industry.
3. Familiarity with SPC flooring and its applications is a must.
4. Strong project management skills.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
6. Willingness to travel as needed
