About the Role:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead the sales for their portfolio of innovative solutions in Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling high-value food technologies to the largest food manufacturers across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

Industry/Account Knowledge and Strategies:

  • Develop intimate knowledge of food industry segments, processes, and key trends in Indonesia.
  • Gain thorough and detailed process and application knowledge of focus categories and partner technologies.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at important end users and technology partners.
  • Understand challenges in plant operations and how our client's solutions can offer possible economic benefits.

Prospecting:

  • Develop a list of potential customers for the offered solutions.
  • Use inbound and outbound outreach to identify the right contacts within potential customers.

Sales and Account Management:

  • Drive successful sales through the effective use of formal sales techniques and tools.
  • Build long-term relationships with the most important end-user accounts in the region, establishing credibility and intimacy with key customers.
  • Provide key customer and competition-specific insights to the category Business Analyst.

Who You Will Work With:

  • Direct reporting to the Regional Commercial Head based in Singapore.
  • Collaborate with a category business analyst on sales packages including ideal customer definition, value propositions, qualifiers, ROI, and sales collaterals.
  • Work with technology partners for support on technical and commercial matters.
  • Coordinate with a marketing specialist for key inbound and outbound initiatives.

Your Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience in the Indonesia market; relevant experience in the food industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree; an engineering or science degree is an advantage. A master's degree in sales, marketing, or management is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in B2B business development or sales roles in industry machinery for FMCG / Food manufacturing. Understanding of formal sales techniques is a plus.
